The proposal from the Officers and Committee is shown below
7. Receive and Decide on any proposed changes to Constitutional and Operational
Rules
The following changes are proposed by the Officers and Committee:
A. Rule 2d2 (Operational Rule). That the upper age limit for a Junior Member
be reduced from 14 to 12;
B. Rule 1e (Constitution). Change the number of Trustees required to be not
less than 2 or more than 4. We have been advised to do this by our
Solicitors;
C. Rule 1d (Constitution). Change the current rule to read: The Club’s financial
year shall be nominally from 1st April to 31st March with a suitable cut-off
date to allow for production and presentation at the AGM; and
D. Rule 2c2 (Operational Rule). Remove the first sentence that restates the
financial year start and finish dates that are repeated elsewhere.
8. Consider any Proposed Life Memberships
9. Consider any Motions from Members
10. Any other Business.

Notes:
1. Proposed change to limit upper age range for Juniors to 12, currently 14. This requires a Rule
change.
Also, Guest Permit fee increased from £5 to £10 and Peg Fee for occasional “visiting clubs” increased
from £5 to £10. Increase to peg fees applies to any new bookings after 1st April 2024.
All these changes are to be effective from 1st April 2024
