Brief description of fishery:
WEST BANK FIRST 2 MEADOWS ONLY.
Wallers Haven, Star Lock is a slow-flowing stretch of river that can be up to 12 feet deep in places with the edges of the river lined with reeds. The river here is approximately 20m wide.
Most of the usual methods and baits work well including traditional baits such as maggots, worms, sweetcorn, bread, and ground bait. The usual pellet and boilie approach works, however, scaled-down with a lighter tackle. Specimen carp tactics are worth trying as there are a few large carp, however, the majority of fish are caught on feeder tactics, both cage and method feeders, though pole and float also work well. Please note our Pike rules when fishing for them, these can be found in our club rules section.
