Membership Information
Digital Membership
As of April 1, 2024, the Club no longer issues physical membership cards. All members must provide a clear, passport-style photo (face only) with their application. Your membership will not be valid without a suitable photo.
Duration & Fees
Your membership runs for 12 months from your date of joining, ensuring you get a full year of fishing regardless of when you sign up (subject to any closed seasons or water closures).
    • Auto-Renewal Discount: Save £20 by choosing the “auto-renewal” option. You will be notified via email before your renewal date and can cancel at any time.
    • Joining Fee: A joining fee applies to all Full and Senior Citizen applicants who were not members in the previous season or whose membership has lapsed for more than 30 days.

Concessions & Disabled Membership
To apply for a Disabled membership, you must provide proof of entitlement, such as a copy of your Blue Badge, a letter from Social Services, a DWP document confirming a PIP award, or a Disability Living Allowance letter. Please email your proof to the club; once verified, you will receive a code to complete your application via Clubmate.
How to Join & Manage Your Membership
We encourage all members to join and renew online or via the Clubmate Fishing app. The app allows you to display your digital membership to bailiffs, book exchange tickets, and update your details.
    • Payment: We accept credit and debit cards.
    • Assistance: If you require help with your application or prefer to pay by cash, please contact Jonathan Pang (Polegate) at 07969 019578, Ian Whitwell (Eastbourne) at 07857 861361 or Nick Greenfield (Hailsham) at ngreenfield1511@gmail.com to make an appointment. Many issues can also be resolved over the phone.

Guests & Day Tickets
We do not sell day tickets. However, members may purchase up to two Guest Tickets per day. Guests must be accompanied by the member who purchased the ticket at all times.
Rules & Compliance
    • Proof of Membership: As physical cards are not issued, please use the membership app or keep a copy of your confirmation email. Bailiffs can also verify your status via their mobile devices.
    • Rod Licences: All members must possess a current Environment Agency Rod Licence when fishing club waters. This is a condition of membership, and bailiffs are authorised to check this.
    • Discretion: Membership is granted at the discretion of the Committee. Proof of entitlement for any concessionary membership may be requested at any time.
