Wylands Farm - SHCAC Discounted Day Ticket Options

Wylands is widely regarded as one of the UK’s best angling centres and is the perfect location for your next fishing excursion. With 9 prestigious lakes set in 154 acres of the beautiful East Sussex countryside, Wylands caters for all anglers from the novice to the specimen hunter.

SHCAC has managed to negotiate an exclusive deal with Wylands to allow our club members to book tickets, at nearly half price, on four of the lakes (conditions apply). Click on the tabs above to see more information about each of the lakes included.

Conditions:

  1. Members MUST comply with all Wylands rules and regulations and the purchase of a discounted ticket through SHCAC is deemed as a members agreement to both acquaint themselves with these rules and regulations and to then abide by them, whilst using the ticket.
  2. Members must purchase and book the ticket 7 days in advance to allow for confirmation of booking.
  3. SHCAC discounted day tickets are valid for House, Field, Snake and Old Lakes. ( 4 out of the 9 lakes) during Mon to Fri and costing £9 (instead of £17.50)

Please note that these conditions form part of an agreed package negotiated with Wylands for the benefit of SHCAC members. We will monitor the progress of this arrangement and negotiate changes as necessary. However any changes are only possible if members strictly adhere to the current requirements. Snake Rules

ANGLERS MUST ALWAYS

  1. Be in possession of a national fishing license.
  2. Pre book their session.
  3. Drive at a maximum of 5mph.
  4. Park in allocated car parks.
  5. Thoroughly read the rule board.
  6. Dip their nets, slings and weighing sacks at the net dip station BEFORE ! Passing the gate.
  7. Be over 18 when night fishing, juniors must be accompanied by an experienced angler over the age of 21.
  8. Fish with a minimum 4lb line / minimum pole elastic 8-10.
  9. Use fish safe rigs, meaning the fish can shake the lead off in the event of breaking off from the mainline.
  10. Fish within their boundaries.
  11. Comply to rig checks when asked by a member of staff.
  12. Use a 16 inch pan net minimum.
  13. Use an unhooking mat or cradle.
  14. Remain kneeling down when handling fish and taking photos.
  15. Be in possession of some form of carp care treatment or antiseptic and treat fish should they get damaged.
  16. Return all fish to the lake.
  17. Vacate their swims in accordance with their booking times.
  18. Use a green bivvy or brolly if a shelter is required max size, 2 man.
  19. Keep dogs on leads and clean up after them (one dog per angler).
  20. Report any instance of fish that seem to be tethered, distressed or damaged.
  21. Report any serious incidents or accidents to a member of staff.
  22. Take their litter home with them and double check their swim before departure.

ANGLERS MUST NEVER

  1. Leave fishing gear unattended or leave their swim when lines are in the water.
  2. Move between lakes without prior authorisation.
  3. Use castable rakes, sonar devices or drones.
  4. Use fixed leads, bolt rigs or paternoster rigs.
  5. Bring fish onto the fishery.
  6. Use barbed hooks.
  7. Use keepnets unless you are in planned matches and have prior authorisation.
  8. Retain fish under any circumstances.
  9. Fish too close to obvious snags.
  10. Use any sea fishing equipment or methods.
  11. Use a braid mainline or mono / fluoro line over 12lb.
  12. Use lead core or fish drop off leads.
  13. Swim in the lakes or let dogs swim in the lakes.
  14. Use bait boats.
  15. Have fires or disposable barbecues.
  16. Climb over fences or gates.
  17. Run about on the banks and cause disruption to other guests.
  18. Use any particle baits that haven’t been purchased from us and strictly no nuts.
  19. Create your own swims or stalk fish between swims.
  20. Use any more than 3 rods per person.
  21. Pull for a break, if snagged please call a member of staff or the tackle shop.
  22. Use spods or spombs.

Anti social behaviour will not be tolerated !

Fisheries management reserve the right to amend the rules at their discretion.

For group bookings if any angler within the group fails to comply with the fishery rules, the whole group will be deemed to have broken the rules.

Failure to comply with any of the rules may result in you being asked to leave the complex without refund.

Return to the complex is purely at the Management’s discretion.

Old Lake Description

The Old Specimen lake is a round 3 acre water that is located next to the New Specimen at the bottom of the complex. Old Speci is a beautiful and secluded lake. It has a large head of Carp averaging 6-15lb with a few over 20lb. It is a prolific water that on the right day can produces multiple catches.

Field Lake Description

Field Lake is easy fishing.

Stocked with a large number of small Carp, that average between 2lb-8lb with the occasional whopper! Field lake is ideal for introducing young people to angling for the first time.

This 1 acre lake is nicely tucked away at the entrance to the complex and often produces a fish a cast!

To complement the Carp there is also a nice head of Roach and Rudd. This lake is the perfect venue to host winter matches, please speak to a member of staff for more details.

House Lake Description

House Lake is one of the more popular waters. At some 2 acres, this pretty lake is ideally located close to the Snack Bar, Tackle Shop and Reception. It consists of 3 islands where many a Carp patrol. The lake has 4 disabled friendly swims that are easily reached from the roadway.

The lake contains a large head of hungry Carp ranging from high singles right up to mid twenties. For the general coarse anglers there are plenty of obliging Roach, Bream and Hybrids. Among these are the occasional Tench and small Barbel

Floating baits work well in the summer with many fish taken off the top.

For the Carp angler House Lake can be considered as a runs water.
